Semi driver rescued after truck hit by train

A semi driver was rescued after his truck was hit by a train in Pueblo Friday.

The driver is conscious. He was taken to the hospital. It’s unknown how badly he was injured.

The incident happened off of Lime Road, near the Vestas plant.

A Burlington North Santa Fe train conductor called the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office after he collided with the tractor trailer.

It is unknown how the semi driver ended up on the tracks.

The Pueblo Fire Department rescued the man. He was trapped inside the cab of the semi.

The train has minimal damage.

The crash is under investigation.
