Fountain Police K9 leads officers to suspects

The Fountain Police Department says three people it was looking for might not have been found were it not for K9 “Amp.”

The search began at around 8 p.m. on March 4, 2015 when officers received a report of a vehicle running another vehicle off of the road at Highway 85/87 and Rice Lane.

The vehicle was found abandoned near Highway 85/87 and Highway 16 (Mesa Ridge Parkway.)

“Amp” was called in to search the vehicle. Police say he found drugs. He then led officers to an enclosed parking lot. Police say “Amp” led them to a vehicle in which the three suspects were hiding.

Derek Sisneros, 27, Daniel Dedmon, 19, and Tracy Colletti, 51, were arrested.
