Police: Victim hit with claw hammer during home invasion
The Colorado Springs Police Department says three people have been arrested following a home invasion robbery in the 1500 block of S. Tejon Street.
The robbery was reported at 3:17 p.m. on February 16, 2015.
Police say the suspects forced their way into a home and held two people at gunpoint. One of the victims suffered a minor leg injury when he was hit with a claw hammer. Electronics were stolen during the robbery.
Police say they were able to identify three suspects in the crime and track them to an address in the 3600 block of E. Pikes Peak Ave.
One person was arrested while walking out of the house and getting into a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle that was seen leaving the scene of the robbery.
The other two people were arrested inside. Police say they also found multiple items that were stolen during the robbery inside the home.
Police identified the suspects who were arrested as Alexander Whitehead, 18, Christopher Cervantez, 20, and Samantha Sellers, 20.
