Snow-way this storm is as bad as it is in the Northeast

There’s a reason why the only dinosaurs in Woodland Park are dead inside the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center.

Snow and cold returned to the entire region. Totals in Woodland Park measured between 7 inches to a foot.

A snowy shock after sun and warm weather as recently as Saturday.

“We were out washing my car and now I’m scraping snow,” said Woodland Park resident Deb Robillard.

But at least Robillard and others in our region are digging out after being buried for weeks by snow like they are in Massachussets.

Boston has recorded 95.7 inches so far this season. Normally the city sees 29.4 inches. That’s over 5 1/2 feet above average.

“That’s crazy. I’m glad it’s not here, sorry Boston!” Robillard said.

Records aren’t kept in Teller County, but in Colorado Springs so far this season we’ve seen 28.5 inches. That’s over 6 inches above average.
