Family: Man Killed by Light Rail Train had Trouble Walking

The family of a man killed by a light rail train in Denver says a disability may have prevented him from moving out of the way.

Naythan Cordova died after his body was dragged under the train near the Colorado Convention Center on Thursday. It’s unclear where he was hit or how far he was dragged.

According to KUSA-TV, relatives say Cordova suffered from a walking disability after being involved in a car accident in 1997.

Police put up signs Friday warning pedestrians to watch for trains and stay off the tracks. Authorities are interviewing witnesses and looking at video from cameras in the area to determine what happened.
