A Pueblo father encourages other dads to learn how to do their daughters hair

He’s inspiring other dads to do more than just a ponytail for their daughters.

Greg Wickherst has captured international attention by going to college to learn how to style hair for his daughter Izzy.

Dads around Pueblo went to Intellitec College for Greg and Izzy’s Daddy Daughter Do Day.

“It’s something special to do with their children. As soon as I pulled up here and saw other dads, I loved it. I just loved that fathers are bringing their daughter in,” Wickherst said.

Darren Scott is one of the dads who came to learn.

He said doing his daughter Tiffany’s hair can be a challenge.

“It’s really hard. I didn’t know it was going to be but when her hair is all thin and it doesn’t work with me, I try not to get frustrated,” he said.

But he said no matter how difficult it is, he isn’t giving up because he wants to make his daughter happy by making her hair look good, a goal Wickherst can share.

Intellitec College hopes to do programs like this every six weeks.
