Question about property ownership delays pothole repairs
Several large potholes have opened up in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs shopping center, and it’s up to the owner of the property to get them fixed. The question is, who owns it?
The potholes are on two service roads near the Sonic restaurant on south 8th Street.
The El Paso County Assessor’s office says the property is owned by an Oklahoma City property firm.
The firm, which has moved to New Mexico, tells KRDO NewsChannel 13 that Sonic owns the property.
A Sonic spokesman told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that there’s a question as to who actually owns that property–whether it’s Sonic or someone else. The spokesman says he’ll investigate the issue further.
