Cheyenne Mountain State Park guided hike

Lovers of the outdoors got an early start to the weekend by hitting up the trails.

Every Friday in February, Colorado Parks and Wildlife offers free, guided hikes through Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

Hikers are invited to meet at the Limekiln trailhead just before 10 a.m. From there they head out on a 3-mile hike lasting about two hours.

“On these nice weather days, people are trying to get out and enjoy it while they can,” said Park Manager Mitchell Martin.

Hikers who are interested in joining are asked to call 719-576-2016 to reserve a spot.
