Man found dead in Arkansas River identified

The Pueblo County Coroner has released the name of a man who was found dead in the Arkansas River Monday.

He was Joel J. Brown, 32.

Brown’s body was found near the 4th Street Bridge in Pueblo.

The Coroner says a preliminary autopsy report was inconclusive. Further testing will be done to determine how Brown died.

KRDO NewsChannel 13 reported that Brown was reported missing last month.

Brown was last seen alive on New Year’s Eve at the Prime Time Bar in the 100 block of W. 7th Street.
