Family displaced after fire in Colo. Springs

A family was displaced by a fire early Monday morning in Colorado Springs.

Firefighters responded to the fire in the 800 block of Prairie Star Circle around 2 a.m. The fire was under control by 3 a.m.

Two adults, one child and two dogs escaped the fire unharmed. A disaster team with the Red Cross is helping the displaced family.

CSFD said the fire damaged the exterior of the home.

The exact cause of the fire has not been determined, but firefighters say they believe the fire was accidental.
