Birds of prey celebration kicks off in Pueblo

A day to celebrate the birds of prey started Friday in Pueblo.

The 19th annual Eagle Days was originally supposed to celebrate the bald eagles flying into Pueblo, but over the years the Colorado Parks and Wildlife wanted to celebrate all the birds of the prey.

The event kicked off Friday in downtown Pueblo with people getting an up close look at eagles, owls and falcons, along with looking at pictures for a bird photo contest.

The event will last three days. On Saturday, the celebration will move to Lake Pueblo ,and Sunday it will be at the Nature and Raptor Center.
