Hundreds of Pueblo students show off their science projects

The poster boards and props were out for an annual science fair in Pueblo.

More than 300 students showed off their projects in the District 60 Science Fair at Central High School Saturday.

The event is in its 13th year.

People had a chance to see different experiments and machines students were working on.

Angela Nelson is a student at Central High School. She said the fair will help with her academic future.

“It opens up a lot of opportunities for colleges to look at you. As juniors, we are really considering our college futures. I thought it would be a good way to broaden our horizons,” she said.

Organizers of the event say the number of entrants nearly tripled from last year’s science fair.
