The Colorado Springs Police Department has instituted a new test to determine if officers are fit for duty.
The results are in, and some Springs police officers didn’t earn a passing grade.
The new tests have become a point of contention inside the police department.
Police cadets have to pass a physical fitness test during training academy to join a law enforcement agency.
One trainer we talked to says it’s what happens after the academy that’s a problem.
“Law enforcement continue to die from heart attacks and stress related disease because they are sedentary,” the trainer said
