Pueblo County deputies arrest 5 in drug bust

Pueblo County deputies arrested five people and seized nearly $20,000 in drugs during a raid Thursday morning.

Deputies said it happened in the 1600 block of East 2nd Street around 6 a.m. Thursday.

The sheriff’s office said deputies obtained a warrant after getting a tip about activities going on in the home. While executing the warrant, deputies said one of the people inside, Dallas Gaulding, 34 tried to flush drugs down the toilet.

Gaulding, Daniel Lowell, 31 and Tasha Kerr, 29 all face several drug charges. William Gonzales, 41 and Louie Leal, 23, were arrested on unrelated warrants in the raid.

Deputies said they found nearly $20,000 worth of drugs, including more than 170 grams of heroin, 34 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of cocaine, and a small amount of crack cocaine. Several guns and knives were found along with cash.
