Man sought after chase, crash

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says a man got away after leading deputies on a chase.

The pursuit began on Las Vegas Street. The sheriff’s office says a deputy tried to pull over a car that had been reported stolen.

When the deputy tried to pull the car over, the driver sped away.

The deputy chased the car onto westbound Costilla Street where the car hit another vehicle.

Deputies tried to arrest the man following the crash, but he sped away. The sheriff’s office says a passenger in the car jumped out and suffered minor injuries.

The car was last seen driving westbound on Costilla.

The car is a 1990 Honda Accord, Grey-Brown in color with a license plate number of 941-NCD.

The man is 34 years old with a shaved head. His name has not been released.
