Fountain firefighters rescue cows that fell through icy pond

Two cows are alive thanks to the heroic efforts of the Fountain Fire Department.

The bovines fell through an icy pond off of Squirrel Creek Road, one mile east of Link Road, on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

The fire department tweeted photos that showed two firefighters in orange suits and tethered to the shoreline with ropes climbing out onto the ice to reach one of the cows.
