1 killed, 1 wounded in Denver police shooting
Denver police say two officers opened fire after one was struck by a car he believed was stolen, and the young woman driving the car was shot and killed.
Police said earlier two people were shot, but later corrected that.
Police say none of the four other people who were in the car was injured. All were being questioned in the investigation into the early Monday shooting.
Police Chief Robert White, speaking to reporters at the scene, says an officer had been called to a residential neighborhood to check on a car that he determined had been reported stolen. White says a colleague arrived and as the officers approached the car, the driver struck one.
The officer hit by the car was taken to a hospital with a leg injury.
