State leaders discuss legislative plans over breakfast with people
State leaders discussed important issues with people while having breakfast.
The Legislative Breakfast was Saturday at the Pueblo Convention Center.
The state leaders who were elected from southern Colorado shared their plans for this year’s legislative session.
Some of the bills the representatives and senators plan to work on deal with improving medical care, upgrading Highway 50 and keeping the Southwest Chief train route in southern Colorado.
Michael Cafasso has lived in Pueblo for more than 30 years. He said one of the issues that the state leaders should cover is water.
“We’re always looking at water issues. Anything that would change state regulations or state thoughts, and processes on how water is handled and developed, that’s critical to us,” he said.
The next breakfast will be Feb. 21 at 8 a.m. at the Pueblo Convention Center.
