Vehicle Fire Shuts Down Part of I-25

A vehicle fire shut down a portion of I-25 Saturday (01/17/15). It happened in the northbound lanes, just north of Pueblo.

The driver of the truck says her transmission gave out, causing the fire.

She was heading to a horse event, when the incident happened.

The driver was able to save both the horse, and her dog.

There were no other injuries.

The fire was put out in less than an hour, and the lane was re-opened.
