El Paso County Commissioner running for US senate
District 1 County Commissioner Darryl Glenn has launched a bid to represent Colorado in the United States Senate.
District 1 covers northwestern El Paso County, including northern Colorado Springs, the Tri-Lakes area and the United States Air Force Academy.
On his newly-launched campaign web site, Glenn describes himself as “a Christian constitutional conservative who has run small business and a private law practice.”
Glenn Graduated from Doherty High School in Colorado Springs. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Western New England College and a Juris Doctor degree from New England School of Law.
Glenn has been an El Paso County Commissioner since 2010. He has been married to his wife for more than 26 years and has two daughters.
The seat that Glenn is running for is currently held by Michael Bennet, a Democrat who was born in New Delhi, India and grew up in Washington, D.C. Bennett was appointed to the senate in 2009 and then elected to a six year term in 2010.
