Is your job making you fat?

A new survey lists the work-related factors that might be packing on the pounds.

The freebie table is one reason listed on the survey conducted by careerbuilder.com.

There are other reasons why the 41-percent of the 3,000 workers surveyed said they’ve gained weight in their current jobs.

One of those factors is on-the-job stress. The stress hormone, cortisol, triggers sugar cravings and fat that is stored around the midsection.

Lunch can also be a problem, especially if you eat out. Your co-workers unhealthy eating habits may be rubbing off on you as well.

The vending machine is full of snacks that are high in calories and low in nutrients.

The study also suggests that people who work overnight tend to burn fewer calories than those who work during the day.
