Hit & run suspect investigation

Colorado Springs Police are investigating a possible hit-and-run at the 3600 block Colorado Avenue.

Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man hit a utility pole, knocking out power to about 400 Colorado Springs Utilities customers.

By 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, power was restored to all but one home.

Colorado Avenue was re-opened around 7:30 a.m.

Colorado Springs PD describe the driver as being of Indian descent, heavy build, 5’7″, with long hair and shaved sides.
