Two candidates running against Pueblo councilwoman in recall election
Two candidates are running to replace Pueblo City Councilwoman Ami Nawrocki.
The deadline to submit paperwork to run in the special election was Wednesday.
Former City Councilman Bob Schilling and Colorado Department of Transportation employee Eric Medina are running to replace Nawrocki, if she’s recalled.
The election is Jan. 27.
Nawrocki became the target of a recall after she was accused of breaking state law by keeping the public out of the loop when she discussed public business over email.
