Parade to celebrate CSU-Pueblo national championship win

The CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves will prowl down Union Avenue later this month to celebrate their national championship title.

The Thunderwolves won their first NCAA Division II national championship last month. The university is planning a parade for Jan. 23 that would start at the Rawlings Library at 4 p.m. and head east on Union Avenue. A pep rally will follow at Memorial Hall.

After the ceremony, university spokeswoman Cora Zaletel said there will be a block party, autograph and photo session in tents outside of Memorial Hall. The event is called Celebration of Champions.

Zaletel said the university is working to finalize details and will release more information later.
