Bill Cosby set to perform in Pueblo
Bill Cosby hit the road to start his tour that stops in Pueblo next week.
More than 20 women have accused the comedian of sexually assaulting them. But another woman is coming to his defense.
Cosby’s television wife on the “The Cosby Show,” Phylicia Rashad, spoke exclusively to ABC News Wednesday, describing Cosby more like the kind man he played on TV.
“He’s a genius,” Rashad said. “He is generous. He is kind. He is inclusive.”
Rashad said she believes the accusations are an orchestrated attack to ruin Cosby’s reputation.
“This is not about the women. This is about something else,” she said. “This is about obliteration of legacy.”
Gloria Allred, the attorney representing many of the accusers, immediately bashed Rashad’s comments saying Rashad should support the women.
Though many of his shows have been canceled around the country, Cosby is set to perform at Pueblo Memorial Hall on Jan. 16.
