Arrest made in attempted sexual assaults at Monarch Ski Area

A 15-year-old from Monument was arrested Tuesday by Chaffee County sheriff’s deputies in connection to two attempted sexual assaults at Monarch Ski Area.

Deputies said the boy faces several charges including felony menacing, false imprisonment, two counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual assault and attempted second-degree kidnapping.

Those attempted assaults happened on Dec. 19 and Jan. 1, deputies said.

This investigation is continuing however no further arrests are expected at this time.
