New bus lines expected by April
The Colorado Department of Transportation is expected to have its own interstate highway bus service up and running by April.
The Post Independent reports the Interregional Express bus service also will include routes from Fort Collins and Colorado Springs to Denver.
The Interstate 70 route will stop in Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Vail, Frisco and the Federal Center and Union Station in Denver.
The project is funded by the 2009 FASTER bill, which raised car registration fees to pay for transportation projects that include public transit.
The service’s 13 50-passenger buses are packed with amenities, including WiFi, electrical outlets, USB ports, bike racks and bathrooms.
