Spann vandalism suspect turns himself in, two still sought

A member of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with vandalism at a Pueblo school that happened in November.

Police said Frankie Martinez, 19, turned himself into the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

Martinez had warrants on charges of second-degree burglary and failing to appear in court.

His bond is set at $45,000.

He is the only non-juvenile in the vandalism at Spann Elementary in November.

Police are still looking for one boy and girl who are connected to the crime.

Vandals did $44,000 worth of damage to the building on Nov. 22 or 23.

The damage included broken windows, mirrors, sinks, toilets, blackboards and video cameras. The vandals also knocked holes in the walls, sprayed graffiti and discharged fire extinguishers.
