Robber Stopped by Good Samaritan at Colorado Springs Mall

Colorado Springs Police say a good samaritan helped stopped a purse snatching at the Chapel Hills Mall on Friday (12/19/14).

Officers say the victim was in the parking lot, and was about to get into her car, when the suspect shoved her and grabbed her purse.

The man then ran away, but a witness saw the attack and ran after the suspect. The good samaritan caught the suspect, wrestled the purse away, and brought it back to the victim. He then told the victim to get in her car, lock it and call police.

The man left the scene without providing his name to police.

The victim was checked by medical staff at the scene.

The suspect, who police says is six foot black male in his 20’s, wearing a black hoodie, is still at-large.

The investigation continues.
