Police, firefighters save infant’s life

Some Colorado Springs police officers and firefighters worked together to save the life of a 13-day old baby Wednesday morning.

The call for help came in from the Spruce Lodge in the 2700 block of N. Nevada Avenue at 7 a.m.

Officer Mike Palmer and Recruit Officer Kevin Hall arrived first. Officer Palmer immediately began CPR on Ezequiel, who was unconscious and not breathing.

Fire department paramedics from Engine #2 B-Shift took over as soon as they arrived. They were able to revive Ezequiel.

Ezequiel was taken to the hospital and is being treated for RSV and pneumonia according to his family. They say he is expected to be okay.
