Call center closure to leave hundreds out of work

The closure of a call center means 200 people in Colorado Springs will be out of work come February.

Corinthian Colleges, Inc. says it will close its Colorado Springs service center on February 28, 2015.

Corinthian said the closure stems from its decision to sell 56 Everest and WyoTech campuses and online programs to Zenith Education Group. It says Zenith plans to consolidate the Colorado Springs jobs at service centers in Thornton and Tampa, FL.

Corinthian says Everest Campuses in Colorado Springs, Aurora and Thornton are included in the sale to Zenith, but that no changes are expected at those campuses.
