Home damaged in Cimarron Hills fire

Cimarron Hills firefighters are investigating a fire that started early Sunday evening.

It happened in the 7200 block of Sioux Circle South around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Two people inside the home started a fire in the fireplace, when heavy smoke started filling the house, Cimarron Hills fire chief Matthew Love said.

Firefighters said a neighbor called in the fire after seeing flames on the roof of a home. The fire department said it is investigating this as a chimney fire.
