Students use downtown Pueblo to share a holiday story

A group of students acted out an old holiday story in Pueblo.

The 38th annual Christmas Posada was held Saturday.

Students from schools around Pueblo reenacted the journey to Bethlehem and a living Nativity scene in the city’s downtown.

Tony Marino is one of the organizers of the event. He said the event gave students a chance to do hands-on learning.

“It gives students an opportunity to act, sing, dance and be part of the community, learn history and learn a different language,” he said.

Triston Turner is the student who played Joseph. He said it’s the role of a lifetime.

“It’s a really big honor, because it is something I believe in, so I try to do a good job with it,” he said.

The journey ended at the Sangre De Cristo Art Center.
