Sheriff’s office calls Pueblo West stranger danger incident a “misunderstanding”

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says it believes a potential stranger danger incident that was reported Tuesday was most likely a misunderstanding.

The sheriff’s office says an older man asked a girl if she needed a ride to school because it was cold outside. It happened near Skyview Middle School.

The man drove away after the girl refused the man’s offer of a ride and the sheriff’s office says it does not consider the incident suspicious.
