Candidates for vacant Springs city council seat announced

Colorado Springs City Council will select one of nine candidates to fill the seat vacated by Joel Miller, who plans to run for mayor.

The candidates who will be considered for the district two seat are as follows:

Bruce Harrington, principal, Consulting Nonprofits, LLC
David Kelly, president, Liberty First, LLC
Glenn Carlson, corporate supplier manager, Arrow Electronics
Holly Williams, legal assistant, Law Offices of Wayne Williams
Larry Bagley, retired, United States Air Force
Mina Liebert, director, LiveWell Colorado Springs
Rex Louth, firearms associate, United States Air Force Academy
Tom Bailey, non-profit management consultant, The Career Building Academy
William “Bill” Murray, retired, Senior Army Officer and Intelligence/Cyber Warfare Consultant

City council will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. on December 15, 2014 to hear presentations from each of the candidates and select a new representative for district 2. The candidate who is selected will fill the seat until the April 2015 election.

The December 15 meeting is happening at city hall, which is located at 107 N. Nevada Ave.
