Hundreds memorialize loved ones with candles

The holiday season gives people a chance to remember the good times with loved ones and a hospice in Pueblo wants to keep that going by remembering the ones who passed away.

The Sangre De Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care hosted its Reflections event.

It gave people a chance to memorialize their loved ones who are no longer with them.
Hundreds of people held candles and the names of the people who passed away were announced.

Paula Padilla’s father died almost 30 years ago. She said this ceremony comes at the right time.

“It means a lot to me because this was one of his favorite times of the year. I think about him almost every day but during this season he’s a lot more present because he loved this season so much,” she said.

About 350 people were memorialized at the event.
