List of candidates for district 4 council seat narrowed to five

The Pueblo City Clerk’s Office says the list of people who will be considered for the vacant city council seat in district 4 has been narrowed to five.

The candidates who will be considered are John Cordova, Roger Gomez, Jean Latka, Ralph Kenneth O’Neal and David Webb.

All five candidates will be interviewed during a work session on December 8.

The resolution making the official appointment will be considered at the regular city council meeting on December 22. The appointment should become effective at noon on December 26.

If the chosen candidate attends the December 22 meeting, they will be sworn in at that time. If not, they will be sworn in no later than December 30.

Former district 4 councilwoman Sandy Daff resigned in October amid allegations of violating the Colorado Sunshine Laws by discussing public policy issues through email
