Denver students protest Ferguson grand jury decision for a second day

Students at four Denver schools walked out of class Thursday. (12/4/14).

An estimated 350 students from Lincoln High School marched in protest of a grand jury’s decision not to indict Ferguson, MO Police Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown.

The students marched to the state capitol where they rallied. They were then taken back to school by bus.

KMGH reported that students from Washington High School, Montbello High School and Bruce Randolph Middle School followed suit, walking out of class and marching in the streets.

Thursday’s protests came on the heels of a large walk-out and march by students at East High School on Wednesday.

As many as 1,000 East students marched to the capitol, blocking major roads and intersections.

Four police officers who were providing crowd control for the march were injured when they were hit by a car.
