Denver officer hit by car faces more surgeries
A Denver police officer hit and dragged by a car as he monitored a student Ferguson protest is facing more surgeries.
Police said Thursday that Officer John Adsit had a “good night” but was expected to undergo more surgeries during the day.
Adsit was one of four police officers on bicycles who were hit by a Mercedes that went on to crash into a restaurant on Wednesday. Police say the driver suffered some kind of medical emergency before hitting the officers, who were helping escort hundreds of high school students who walked out of class to protest. Adsit was the most seriously injured.
Students at a different Denver high school followed with another protest on Thursday.
