Denver fast food workers protest for $15 wage

Organizers say about 400 people participated in Colorado’s latest demonstrations in favor of higher wages for fast food workers.

Workers from several chains and their supporters demonstrated outside two Denver McDonald’s on Thursday in support of a national effort to win $15 an hour wages. Some carried signs saying they were on strike.

The demonstrations come three months after another round of protests in Denver that led to the arrests of three people who sat down in the middle of Colfax Avenue outside a McDonald’s near the state Capitol.
