Denver begins direct flights to Panama City
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock is headed to Panama City aboard the first direct flight to the Central American capital.
Hancock is joining business and tourism officials on the flight Wednesday to raise attention for the new direct service.
United Airlines plans daily service to Panama City for most of the year.
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper visited Panama City last year to promote commerce between the two cities.
