People picking Pueblo to fly to their destinations
Pueblo Memorial Airport is flying high.
More than 500 people chose to fly out of Pueblo in November, that’s up nearly 50 percent from last November and the highest it has been in five years for that month.
Aviation Director Mark Lovin said the switch to SkyWest back in April helped with airport attendance. He also said the reason for the jump in the number is because of the lack of cancellations and delays at the airport.
“It’s on time. People want to know, particularly over the holidays, is when you book a flight you book reliability to a large degree. They want to make sure they can make it there on time. It’s a fairly worry free process,” he said.
Lovin said if the number of passengers continues to increase there could be more flights or larger airplanes coming into Pueblo Memorial.
There are 12 flights that fly out of the airport each week.
