Group prepares its gift of music to Pueblo
A chorus in Pueblo is bringing the gift of music to the Steel City.
The Arkansas River Chorus is fine tuning its carols before people can enjoy them for the holiday season.
This is the group’s annual tradition.
The group was started in 1969 and the members are as young as 11 and as old as 86.
Chapter president Steve Hermanson said this is the group’s present to Pueblo.
“Singing is expressing love and joy and in the Christmas season we would like to express that to as many as we can,” he said.
The chorus is performing Saturday at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The group is also doing a special concert for the people at the Primrose Retirement Community next Tuesday.
