Carbon monoxide on the rise
It’s odorless, colorless – and deadly if you’re not careful.
And this time of the year, it’s on the rise.
Gas appliances such as stoves, dryers and hot water heaters can give off carbon monoxide.
With many people hosting holiday parties, those appliances can get a real workout.
A detector is the best way to keep your family safe.
“They have carbon monoxide detectors that work with batteries, often they work with long-term life batteries. You have carbon monoxide detectors that are electrical, hooked to the house current and some are both,” said Chuck Fonda from Intellitec Colleges.
Intellitec Colleges offers a certification course for contractors.
They’ve even built a mock apartment for the training at their Colorado Springs campus.
