Butane tank explosion destroys Black Hawk home
A butane tank explosion destroyed a home in Black Hawk Sunday morning.
The Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office said neighbors reported a fire around 11 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Chalet Drive in the town of Black Hawk, west of Denver.
A neighbor saw a man trying to leave the home and ran to help. Another person stopped to help as well and pulled the man to safety.
The victim suffered burns on his hand, deputies said. A dog inside the home also suffered burns.
