Man arrested for Fremont County burglaries
A Florence man is spending Thanksgiving in custody after Fremont County Sheriff’s deputies said he broke into a store in Caon City.
Jacob Lewis, 26, was arrested Thursday morning, deputies said. Deputies investigated a burglary at the Hilltop Market. During that investigation, deputies said they learned about another burglary in Florence.
After viewing surveillance video from both stores, deputies identified a suspect. While driving on Highway 115 to Caon City, deputies saw Lewis and arrested him.
He faces a second-degree burglary charge and other charges, deputies said.
