More holiday travelers expected this year than previous years

More people in Colorado are expected to travel for this Thanksgiving than in previous years.

According to AAA Colorado, about 752,000 people will hit the road for the holiday, the highest number since 2008, and up 3.5 percent compared to last year. A spokesperson said part of the reason for the increased number is lower gas prices.

Many people will also travel by plane. The Colorado Springs Airport is offering free short and long term parking this holiday season, and leaders expect that to attract more travelers.
