Reward offered in Angelina Sicola murder investigation

The family of a Colorado Springs college student killed nearly two years ago is still looking for answers.

Police have not made an arrest in the murder of Angelina Sicola in May 2013. Sicola was a UCCS student who was found strangled in her apartment.

Angelina’s family is now offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

“We’re convinced that somebody out there has just that one last piece of the puzzle that can help the detectives put this case together, and get this person off the streets,” Pam Lively, Angelina’s mother said.

Family, friends, and strangers donated to the reward fund online. Lively said she hopes this will lead to someone coming forward to help close the case.

Lively said community support has been overwhelming.

“It is amazing, and it is very comforting to know that so many people really care,” she said.

Sicola’s family is looking for closure, as police continue looking for a suspect.

“Just knowing that her killer is out there, walking free, maybe in this community, maybe in another community, is terrifying.”
