Fort Carson schedules Article 32 investigation for soldier accused of murder
An Article 32 investigation has been scheduled for a Fort Carson soldier who is accused of killing another soldier during deployment in Jordan.
Spc. Jeffery T. Page is accused of killing Spc. Adrian M. Perkins. His hearing will happen on November 19 at 9 a.m.
Fort Carson says that Page, who is assigned to the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, is charged with three counts of murder under Uniformed Code of Military Justice Article 118.
The post says Page is also charged with one count of manslaughter under UCMJ Article 119, one count of negligent homicide under UCMJ Article 134 and one count of UCMJ Article 92 failure to obey an order or regulation.
Fort Carson says the Article 32 investigation is a pre-trial hearing used to assist the convening authority in determining whether there is sufficient evidence for court-martial proceedings.
A murder charge carries a maximum sentence of reduction to the grade of E-1, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, and a dishonorable discharge.
