Hair dryer helps save Denver kitten found in snow

A kitten found in the snow in Denver is recovering after animal shelter workers used heating pads, a blanket and a hair dryer to save her life.

Allison Baker found the 3- or 4-month-old kitten Thursday, put her on a heating pad and brought her to the Denver Dumb Friends League, thinking the animal may have already died of hypothermia.

Health Morgan Schneider told KMGH-TV that the orange tabby’s temperature was so low it didn’t even register on the thermometer but that she began to perk up after about an hour of treatment.

The staff named her Elsa after the character in the Disney movie “Frozen.” She’ll be put up for adoption if no one claims her.
